The AAMHP is a multidisciplinary group consisting of:
- Physiotherapist
- Occupational Therapists
- Nurses
- OHS practitioners
- Ergonomists
- other interested persons
We aim to:
- Foster exchange and promote the improvement of training and practice in the manual handling of people
- Develop a supportive and collaborative network of people who are interested in the manual handling of people
- Provide a forum for sharing information and education about the manual handling of people
- Support other activities that further the understanding and improved practice in the manual handling of people
We achieve these aims by:
- Holding meetings every two months with guest speakers
- Providing an e-mail networking group for our members
- Providing a web page for our members and the general community
- Hosting bi-annual conferences (for more info)
